Alice in Wunderland - Coming Soon
Pat and KitI have been working on a new series of paintings, themed after the story "Alice in Wonderland". The idea hit me in November of 2008, while visiting a friend who shared his copy of Salvador Dali illustrated version of Alice in Wonderland. I read the story again, and loved it. However, Dali had done these crazy images to go along with the story. In any event, this will be the first time I have decided to share the "process" of how I work. I am using all female models for all of the characters in the story. I am using my usual cast of favorites, to include, my wife Jennifer, Madeline, Phoebe, Sable, and Tara. When it came to Alice, I was stumped. I finally got her. A friend, Kit Pistol of TV show "Project Runway" is it. Last week sometime, my all time fave photographer Pat Rogers shot the reference images I needed to finish up the series. The show will debut at the M Modern Gallery in Palm Springs at the end of the year. Can't wait to share the finished goods!!

Simplicity in Celebrity - June 2004
GwenWalt
Zoey cuts through the glamour and pretense and gets to the heart of celebrity in this moving exhibition in simplicity. Hollywood A-listers, today's hottest musicians, and icons of past generations are all immortalized using a minimalist technique to capture the essence of 'Simplicity in Celebrity'. Zoey originally exhibited 'Simplicity in Celebrity' at the Chuck Jones Gallery, in Orange, CA in the summer of 2004 to rave reviews. Since that time, Zoey has been constantly adding to the collection. JohnnyEminem

More recently, Zoey has taken his patented portrait style to the masses, doing commissioned paintings of 'ordinary' folks as wedding presents, anniversary gifts, or family mementos. Zoey has also volunteered his talents to help a variety of charities, painting portraits at events. To date, Zoey's portraits have raised over $500,000 nationwide to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and other non-profits.

The Demise of Democracy
Zoey blends East and West with this three piece collection. Originally entitled "Killa Geishas on the Loose Stabbing Charging Bulls", Zoey chose the more subtle, final title of "The Demise of Democracy". All pieces are original works of acrylic on canvas.
