Simplified Checkout for B2B Customers: Zoey Updates – May 2023

At Zoey, we understand the importance of providing a seamless shopping experience for our B2B customers. That’s why we are excited to announce new updates to our platform’s cart and checkout process that will enhance our B2B customer’s experience on our platform. These updates will streamline the checkout process, save time and improve overall user satisfaction. In this blog, we will walk you through the recent changes and explain how they impact both logged-in B2B customers and those who choose to check out as guests.

Simplified Checkout Steps

Logged-in users will notice that their customers’ addresses are pre-filled based on their defaults to expedite checkout. Having reviewed and confirmed their addresses, they can proceed to the next step by clicking the “Checkout” button. This automatically directs them to the shipping and payment method screens. This improvement reduces friction in the checkout process, allowing customers to complete their purchases quickly.

Editing and Adding Addresses

As a logged-in B2B customer with the appropriate permissions, you can easily edit or add new shipping and billing addresses directly from the cart page. This convenient feature allows you to make changes and updates seamlessly, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for future purchases. No need to navigate to separate account settings – everything can be done right from the cart.

Order Attributes at a Glance

To provide our B2B customers with a comprehensive overview of their order details, we made significant improvements to the cart page. Order attributes previously displayed during the billing or shipping address steps can now be found below the “new addresses” section in the cart. This change ensures that our B2B customers have all the necessary information at their fingertips before proceeding to checkout

Enhanced Order Comments

We value our B2B customer’s specific requirements and preferences. That’s why we have introduced the ability for logged-in users to add “Order Comments” directly from the cart. Your comments will be visible in the “Customer Order Comments” section of the admin order view screen, ensuring seamless communication and a more personalized shopping experience.

Other Zoey Updates

Outside of these larger additions, here are some additional updates we made in May.

  • The status of Paid or Unpaid on an Invoice will now reflect whether all items on an Invoice have been paid or not, reflecting changes to Invoicing and Bills that may yield a total that differs from the original Invoice if charges change.
  • An export template has been added for product attachments, including file URLs and which customer groups can see the attachment.
  • A new setting allows sellers to configure the Net Terms window to begin once the last shipment has been initiated on an order.
  • Import/export functionality has been added for Account Notes.
  • Data has been added to match the Account API info and list endpoints.
  • Event-based triggers have been added for the HTTPS Data Mapper capability.
  • Payment surcharges have been removed from the Credit Memo.
  • You can now change the associated NetSuite Order ID on a Zoey Order.
  • Dates for Orders, Shipments, Invoices and Credit Memos can be changed and edited within the Zoey Admin. The Audit Log will capture who has completed such actions and when.
  • Net 25 Term Length has been added as an option.
  • We have added an Audit Log for Customer Registration Emails.
  • We’ve improved the search results when searching for Accounts in the Zoey Admin.
